Hi, I am Mark and proud to stand as your truly independent candidate for the federal seat of Aston which I have lived in and around for most of my life.
Along with my lovely wife, I have called The Basin home for 25 years and we are the proud parents of two amazing young women (Both born at Angliss Hospital in Upper Ferntree Gully).
As well as us both running successful small businesses, I am also the President of The Basin Music Festival Association Inc.
Working with The Basin Music Festival committee has given me a great sense of connection and belonging. It has allowed me to work closely with different organisations, businesses, local government and community groups. Through these connections, we have been able to improve governance, processes, infrastructure, and outcomes for our festival along with creating greater inclusion and opportunities for our surrounding and extended community.
As an active member of the Aston (Knox) community, I am seeing more families, friends and others struggling with issues that I feel are not being properly addressed by the major parties.
As your elected representative I will take the voice of Aston to parliament.
I believe a minority government with representatives independent of the major parties is the best way to give Australians a voice and make better decisions for the country.

By charging appropriate taxes on our exported natural resources we will be able to lessen the financial burden for all Australians.
Federal funding for extra staff in classrooms to improve student support
Supporting our children in the classroom is vital for their welfare and future.
Currently, teachers are unable to meet their individual needs fully.
